SYNOPSIS

Big cities usually take the shape of an empty space in between home and work; an entity
without significance on its own. This is due to the fact that the modern metropolis presents itself
to its inhabitants as a kind of closed, autonomous universe, detached from tradition and lacking
a distinctive character.
